I heard http://www.jujuinteractive.com is a very good tempe website design company but their website isn’t up. Does anybody else know about them?
Yeah, I heard that they do great websites and their stuff that I’ve seen looks pretty professional. I’ve never tried to go to http://www.jujuinteractive.com but for Tempe website design they’re the only good company I know of.
I am guessing that companies such as Google and Yahoo! have their own internet web development divisions, but what about other companies? Websites like gap.com and a slew of other companies which have very impressive websites – who did the web design for these?
There are actuallly 3 main areas of business: Web Designing, Web Developing, and Web Maintaining.
Depending on the business requirement, if they also operates their business through the internet (eg. sells products online), then most MNCs or big companies will have an in-house team to oversees their company website cos’ business needs to be running 24 hours 7 days.
If it is only for informational purposes, most companies, regardless if it is big or small, will prefer to outsource that to a design firm. Package usually comes with the 3 main areas, prices differ depending on the level of design and technical involved. Sometimes, web maintainance will come under another company. There are some local firms who will hire just a web designer to design and maintain their website.
Search engines like Goggle and Yahoo are based in US, including their teams. Local offices work via their in-house structure for daily updating.

I’m based in the UK and recently got a website from Only Webdesign. They were really good, kept in contact with me at all points of the process and I ended up with a very good looking website I’m very happy with, at a fraction of the cost I was quoted by many other design companies.

No, but I know of a great one in California.
Design companies don’t need to be local… the only reason for that is for your ‘piece of mind’. In most cases, by limiting to ‘local’ design companies, you also limit the creative potential, and normally don’t receive what you wanted.

You probably could get a cheaper website from a free lance web developer and even if they live somewhere else in the us if you can use the web to send files and phone to give a general idea of what you want and paypal or money orders to pay them thats what I’m currently doing for a site in cali and I live in mn.

There are thousands of website design companies out there if you search on it. You don’t need to worry about physical location. I suggest finding someone cheap that can also help you with hosting your website.

How about "Spinnennetz". It means cobweb in German, so your logo could include a web.
