Swimming was an included event in the first modern Summer Olympics games, held in Athens in 1896. Around the turn of the century, the backstroke was incorporated as an Olympic Event. Swimming is a fabulous workout, which has been found to be not only beneficial for the human body, but also perfect for relaxing the mind of the person undertaking it. In summer time, it serves as an excellent exercising choice, which helps you burn off calories, while cooling down your body.

Swimming requires greater technique than most other endurance sports. Unlike cycling or running where poor technique is not an enormous limiting factor. intex swimming pools
