Most worthwhile CD programs for learning French cost between $300 and $700 because the cost of manufacturing CDs and packaging is a huge part of production costs. So shop around for a learn French CD class that is reasonably priced. It’s true that you can find CD programs for $20, but I have tried many of them and they are virtually worthless. It is a case of you get what you pay for in this case. As an adjunct, you should also try to rent some French movies and perhaps find some French music or a radio station online to listen to. This just makes your ears more attuned to hearing different accents and voices which will be helpful over time.
