I Really Believe That Waiting in Line Saved Me

April 7, 2010 - 4:32 pm

We were waiting in line for the pharmacy to fill my husband’s prescription and, not surprisingly, were getting a bit bored. We began looking around and spotted one of those machines to test your blood pressure and pulse to check that it is within the normal range. We both had a go with it and I’m so thankful we did. My husband’s pressure and pulse were right on track but my blood pressure was way up. I called my doctor straight away to make an appointment for the following day and we also bought a home blood pressure monitor when we picked up his medicine. For once in my life I am thankful that I was bored because it may have saved my life.
