A Registry Error: Now What?

February 22, 2010 - 11:53 am

So you’ve got a message on your computer saying you’ve got a registry error. Now what? Is it fixable?

The first thing that you should do is run a scan. This is normally done through a registry maintenance program and doesn’t take very long. In most cases the error will be identified and the program will ask you what you want to do about the issue. The reason for this is that some actions can be taken against misidentified objects, and user input is required just to be safe.
