During the winter months, a lot of us search high and low for ways that actually help to lower our monthly energy costs - especially if you live in the bitter cold parts of the world.

We seal gaps under doors, line windows with plastic or insulation, use space heaters instead of cranking up the thermostat, and so on.

And then there’s that water heater sitting in your cold garage. It likely fires up all day long (including at night when all are asleep) regardless of when anyone in the house needs hot water.

Well how about something innovative, like solar water heaters. They are affordable and save a ton of money over time - plus in their own relatively small way, their use helps the environment.
