WHY are website developers so popular!?!?!?

So there are careers like computer techincians and computer programmers, but why are website developers so ‘amazing’!?!? How can they be as important as technicians and programers!?!?

website is a very straight and direct communication and publication method. creating a content rich, but still high performing website is always depends on the developers skills. But i dont think programmers are less valuable than website developers!!!!
