Cost of Website Development?
Our company is going to have a website developed. We have received proposals from various companies, but we want to know if the prices are reasonable. What is the regular rate for a corporate website with 50-70 pages, with pictures, videos, and pages where people can download stuff, etc.
There is not a reasonable cost they have to look at the time invested. You should estimate the time it should take them and allow the hr. rate to be between 35 and 50 per hr. It is their time spent doing it that matters to them. Quality of work and reliability is likely most important to you in addition to scalability.
There are countless variables to consider
-are they going to help you add new features?
-do you trust them to do a good job in a timely fashion?
-what did you think of their sites they developed in the past?
If in doubt ask for 3 or 4 referrals and speak to them that can do more than just save you money it could indicate reliability which as a company may be far more important.
